Repeat Prescriptions

medication_10We will no longer be taking prescription requests over the telephone unless in exceptional circumstances.

Requests for repeat medication can be made by post, online, via your pharmcay or dropping your slip into reception and will take up to 72 working hours to be processed.

Several pharmacies in the area now operate a delivery service. If you want your medication to be collected from the surgery and delivered to you then you must speak with the pharmacy involved.

If a prescription is to be posted please don’t forget to enclose a stamped self addressed envelope.

Patients on repeat medication will need to be reviewed on an annual basis to make sure the medication is still needed or if it needs to be changed.

Online Requests

The surgery now takes all online requests for medication through our clinical software. In order to do this you need to bring some form of ID to the surgery and fill in a consent form in order to get your username and password. The simplest method is to download the 'NHS APP' that doesn't require ID to set up and you can access your COVID passport on there as well as opt out of the national data opt out (see the further information tab)

Please note when ordering medication online there is an option of preferred pharmacy. By choosing this option you must inform the pharmacy that you want them to collect your prescription, they wont automatically be sent unless the pharmacy usually collects your prescriptions from the surgery. The patient is responsible for contacting the pharmacy and asking for their medication to be sent down to them.
